Located on the shared, traditional, and unceded territories of Katzie First Nation and Kwantlen First Nation, the Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) is defined by a culture of excellence and is highly regarded for the quality of its education and its commitment to students.  Innovation, educational choice and student success is at the heart of all SD 42 efforts to support the learning needs of over 17,500 students.  The school district has 22 elementary schools and 6 secondary schools and is governed by the Board of Education, comprised of 7 elected Trustees.

The Maple Ridge – Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) is looking for a qualified School Psychologist to join our Learning Services Team, for a 1.0 FTE continuing position. The School Psychologist will have demonstrated ability in collaborating with school-based and/or district personnel to gather classroom-based data, and design or implement instructional and/or behavioural support strategies. The School Psychologist will be qualified to administer and interpret up to and including Level C Educational, Psychological and Behavioural tests. The School Psychologist will demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with other professionals including school-based teams and be able to work as part of a strong collaborative team.

The applicant will possess:

  • A Master’s Degree in school/educational psychology or a related field with a focus on school psychology.
  • Qualifications that meet the standard for membership in the British Columbia Association of School Psychologists.
