The purposes of  BCASP (the British Columbia Association of School Psychologists) are to represent the interests of school psychologists and to further the standards of school psychology practice in order to promote effective service to all students and their families.

The mission of the British Columbia Association of School Psychologists shall be to represent and advance the profession of school psychologists in British Columbia in the context of enhancing the learning of children and adults.

Being presented this summer by the Calgary Learning Centre:

  • Putting the Wheels on the DSM-IV: Using the DSM-IV as a Diagnostic Tool. August 18 - 19, 2010
  • DSM-IV: Advanced Clinical Applications, Level II.  June 4, 2010 or August 20, 2010

Membership in BCASP provides the professional credential of BCASP Certified School Psychologist. If you do not meet the requirements for full membership you may not use the title of Certified School Psychologist. A Certified School Psychologist is employed by a board of school trustees constituted under the School Act, or by a Provincial, federal or municipal government or government agency, or by a University.
